Let it Snow.....

We had a freak ice storm/snow to welcome April. It all started Friday afternoon and by the time we were finishing up dinner we went outside to "play". One thing our driveway is good for is being really fast for sledding when it's icy. Thanks to either my parents or grandparents I have an AWESOME Radio Flyer extra long sled that will hold me and the kids......or ummmm, me and Lynn as the kids watch. We were having so much fun. The flakes were huge and nothing could wipe the smile off my California sweetheart's face. He loves snow......he loves all weather really, but holds a very special place in his heart for the snow in Kansas.

Evan of course had more fun playing with the car. He loves the car, the keys, the steering wheel, the horn, the windshield wipers. We're going to have to watch out for him.....he'll be driving it soon.

He looks like the dog on the Little Rascals with that black eye!

The rest of us enjoyed the sled....and the snow! The next afternoon we headed out to scrape the drive and build a snowman. I had to show everyone how to build one, and it seems that it wasn't my idea, but yet I was the one left doing it with Kira. We put a Chargers hat on it and used golf tee's from Aunt Michele to make the eyes and mouth. Kira insisted that he had to have a carrot nose. How does she know that?

Evan liked to pick up the snow and throw it, just like he likes to throw everything else.
